Friday, April 16, 2021, is our next “Theme Day” at both of our #BestHour Fitness Kickboxing locations in Federal Way and Kent, WA.  These Theme Days serve two purposes, one is to create great awesome memories for our members as we dress up in silly costumes and kickbox. The photos we take during the event are priceless and it’s a great way for new members to our veteran kickboxers. The second reason is to help a local charity. This month, we’ve partnered with Fusion in Federal Way.

Fusion is an amazing program that started back in 1993, almost 30 years ago. It’s legit. They provide clean, fully furnished one-bedroom condominiums to 20 families at a time. When they move in they will find a fully stocked refrigerator and pantry, dishes and cookware. Fresh linens, cleaning kits, and personal hygiene products are also provided. Let that sink in for a second and think about what that first hour must feel like for a family that has been through the most difficult of times trying to survive, let alone get back on their feet.

They can stay up to 18 months working with a case manager during this time as crucial steps in reaching the stability of employment and a permanent home in their progression to self-reliance. When a family is ready to exit from our program, a FUSION-created “Finally Home” fund helps with moving expenses when no other community funds are available.
